INOVYN is investing in a new Mechanical Vapour Recompression unit to decarbonise its solid salt manufacturing process at its Tavaux site (39).

INOVYN‘s planned investment will significantly improve the energy efficiency of the Tavaux (39) operations by converting its brine concentration process to run on steam generated from electricity rather than gas. This will ultimately lead to a reduction in primary energy consumption of over 200 GWh and a reduction in CO2 emissions of over 60,000 tonnes per year.

This project is a winner of the industry decarbonisation fund, which supports investment in energy efficiency and process transformation, as part of the France Relance plan.

La ministre déléguée à l'industrie s'est rendue sur le site d'Inovyn à Tavaux.
The Minister for Industry, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, visited the site of the future RMV during her visit to the INOVYN factory.

Ekium has been retained for the detailed studies as well as the procurement and construction management (EPCM Mission), with a target start date of the end of 2023.

INOVYN produces numerous chemical products (chlorine, VCM, caustic soda, chlorinated organics) and PVC at its Tavaux site. Equipped with the latest generation membrane electrolysis room, the company is located on a 200-hectare industrial platform from which INOVYN manufactures and ships more than one million tonnes of products per year, including 250,000 tonnes of PVC.
