Projects

FECAMP offshore wind farm
A 500 MW offshore wind farm being developed by the EDFEN, ENBRIDGE and SKYBORN consortium. This project involves the installation of 71 8 MW turbines on gravity foundations off the coast of Fécamp.
Ekium was involved in the design of the foundations, covering the entire scope of the structure and integrated systems (Elec, Instrum, Surveillance/Security-Maintenance), and in monitoring manufacturing.

CALVADOS offshore wind farm
450 MW offshore wind farm developed by the EDFEN, ENBRIDGE and SKYBORN consortium. This project involves the installation of 64 7 MW turbines on single-pile foundations off Courseulles.
Ekium designed all the MP and TP foundations, including manufacturing supervision, transport and installation engineering, and supervision of offshore operations.

IN015 float expertise
Expert appraisal of the design of the IN015 semi-submersible wind turbine float developed by TECHNIP ENERGIES through a technical review of the design file (design bases, calculation and design methodology) and identification of areas for optimisation.

Evaluation of wind turbine float concepts
Evaluation and classification of different types of float concepts: semi-sub vs. barges vs. hybrid spars, concrete vs. steel, pontoons vs. trellis, centred vs. non-centred, number of columns, catenary vs. synthetic anchoring, etc.
Holistic approach with definitions and analyses of performance criteria throughout the life cycle :

Development of the STAR1 float concept
Through the integration of the NAVAL ENERGIES teams, SOFRESID has developed the STAR1 semi-submersible wind float concept, capable of integrating turbines of 15MW or more. Ekium has also carried out several pre-feeds and feeds with this concept (owned by Saipem) for the development of wind farms in France, Japan, the UK, Italy and South Korea.

Development of subsea O&G fields
Ekium brings its expertise to the development of subsea O&G fields through the design of various types of structures and analyses.
Between 2022 and 2024, Ekium participated in the design of PLETs, PLEMs, riser connections, dynamic analyses, for multiple SAIPEM projects (WHALE, YELLOWTAIL, WHIPTAIL, UARU, LAPA, TORTUE).
