Philippe Lanoir appointed president of Nuclear Valley

At the cluster’s General Meeting held on 21 May 2025, Philippe LANOIR was elected as the new president of Nuclear Valley: the competitiveness cluster for the nuclear and defence industry in the regions.

As president of EKIUM, an active member company of the cluster, Philippe Lanoir has been a member of the Nuclear Valley board for several years. He brings expertise in industrial engineering and a strong commitment to innovation and French technological sovereignty.

“It is with great enthusiasm and immense pride that I succeed Philippe Frantz as President of Nuclear Valley today, and I would like to pay tribute to his remarkable commitment, which has shaped the upward trajectory of our competitiveness cluster dedicated to civil and defence nuclear technology.

This transition is a continuation of the work accomplished, and I am convinced that this year, marked by our 20th anniversary, is an opportunity to take Nuclear Valley’s ambition even further: to bring together players in the sector, encourage innovation and promote French industrial excellence.

Together with Sophie Rouzaud, its Managing Director, and the entire team of permanent staff at the cluster, who are doing a remarkable job, I will devote all my energy to serving our members, our funders and our partners in order to strengthen Nuclear Valley’s impact and amplify its role as a catalyst for innovation and growth by reinforcing the synergies between industrialists, SMEs, start-ups, research laboratories, schools and research organisations that make up our wealth.”
