Energy Performance & Decarbonation

Reduce carbon emissions in your industry: Ekium supports you in your energy efficiency efforts!

Let's discuss your needs

Rising energy bills, regulatory pressure on CO₂ emissions? Ekium helps you reduce your energy consumption, recover waste heat, and deploy renewable energy.

Winner of the National Engineering Grand Prize for “Decarbonizing Industry” (2023 & 2024), we combine technical expertise (processes, utilities, buildings) with financial engineering to build your decarbonization roadmap and maximize public funding (ADEME, CEE, BPI, Regional Authorities).

Our approach: we primarily support our clients through high-value-added consulting services (energy audits, carbon assessments, decarbonization master plans, feasibility studies). Ekium then leads the implementation phases (from preliminary design to commissioning), where we bring our multi-disciplinary technical expertise to bear.

Automation and Industry 4.0 solutions : smart utility management, real-time optimization

Support for teams in energy efficiency: training, awareness-raising, and coaching

Technology watch and innovation

  • Consortium with France Chimie/ADEME: identification, industrialization, and deployment of breakthrough technologies (hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCS), biogas, solar thermal)

  • Partnerships with specialized companies: monitoring, solar thermal, heat recovery, water treatment, carbon capture

Your challenges

  • High energy bills: impact on competitiveness, volatility in energy prices

  • Regulatory pressure: mandatory energy audits (large companies), carbon tax, CO₂ quotas

  • Decarbonization goals: CSR commitments, “net-zero” trajectory, pressure from customers/investors

  • Water restrictions: recurring droughts, municipal ordinances, threat to production continuity

EKIUM
Regulatory compliance (ISO 50001, carbon footprint, ICPE declarations, wastewater discharges) becomes a permanent challenge, all the more so as the complexity of public subsidies - difficult to identify and administratively cumbersome - hampers access to available funding. The lack of visibility on actual consumption, due to the absence of reliable measurements, prevents effective prioritization of improvement actions.

Our added value

  • Comprehensive approach: from audit to operation, including financing (ADEME, EEC, BPI, Regions)

  • Field-based approach: on-site surveys conducted by consultants to collect data (consumption, processes, equipment)

  • Integrated multi-disciplinary expertise: energy efficiency, decarbonization, refrigeration, heat recovery, renewable energy, water treatment, processes, building systems, digitalization

  • Financial engineering: recognized expertise in preparing applications for ADEME, CEE, and BPI funding (maximizing grants)

  • Technology watch: consortium with France Chimie/ADEME, partnerships with specialists

  • Measurable performance: quantified savings (kWh, tCO₂, m³ of water, €), calculated ROI

  • Digitalization tools: monitoring, data analytics, smart utility management

45-8 ENERGY
Many thanks to the Ekium team involved in this study. It was a particularly challenging assignment, not only because of the very tight timing, but also because of the "breadth" of the study's scope. We rose to the challenge. The exchanges between our companies were constructive and always in good spirits, which contributed to the success of the project.
