Groupe Snef and Orano: signature of a partnership agreement for the "Back End of the Future" program

The Snef Group has signed an engineering partnership with Orano as part of the ‘Back End of the Future’ programme to renew spent fuel processing and recycling plants by 2040-2050.

The signing ceremony took place on 8 October in the presence of Corinne Spilios, Director of Recycling Activities, Nicolas Ferrand, Director of the Downstream of the Future Programme, Guillaume Dureau, Director of Engineering Activities for Orano, Philippe Lanoir, Executive Vice President of the Snef Group, Chairman of EKIUM and David Klein, Executive Vice President of the Snef Group in charge of the Group’s nuclear business.

The Snef Group is mobilizing to provide Orano with its experience in multitechnical engineering, its know-how in building complex facilities and its innovative solutions for this program, which represents an asset for the climate, the preservation of resources and the country’s current and future energy sovereignty, thus confirming the French nuclear industry’s unique mastery of the downstream cycle.
